My pal, B-School Babe blogger Sharon, wrote a really interesting post about money and happiness, and men and women. It’s a topic rigorously discussed and combed over, and it’s one that runs across my mind pretty often–being broke all the time–but what I love about this is that she’s discussing it from the business perspective, and thus, for me, a new perspective. The conclusion? Guess you’ll just have to read it to find out.
As my dad always says: “Money doesn’t buy happiness, but it buys a better class of misery.”
Tonight, I spoke with a girlfriend about the importance of money as it relates to happiness… and not just anyone’s happiness – a woman’s happiness. We discussed this over sushi at a semi-high end restaurant, in Midtown Manhattan, while we wore our semi-expensive designer clothing, which matched our semi-luxury designer bags.
First, we discussed Men & Money.
Our verdict: life can be good without either one, but it’s nice to have both.
